Punjab State Election commission will conduct the Panchayat elections in Punjab in the coming month. Punjab Panchayat elections will be for Block Samitis, Zila Parishads, Panchayat Panches and Sarpanches . The state government will announce the delimitation of wards for Panchayat election in the coming month. The process of Panchayat elections has been started in local lower level of Punjab State. Punjab Panchayat Election schedule 2018 will be published on the official website of Punjab State Election commission website in the month of May-June 2018.
Panchayat Polls in Punjab 2018
State Election commission of Punjab will conduct the Panchayat Election in Punjab in the Month of July 2018. Punjab Rural Development and Panchayat department has started the preparation of delimitation of wards. Panchayat Polls in Punjab will be conducted in 2 phases , 1st phase panchayat polls will be for Block Samitis and Zila Parishads and in 2nd phase Panchayat polls will be for Panchayat Panches and Sarpanches. The time period between the 2 phases will be of One month.
State Government has given the reservation for women in upcoming Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) elections.
